Rebounding Rocket Launcher for Quake ==================================== Title : Rebound - Rebounding Rocket Launcher for Quake Filename : RBOUND10.ZIP Version : 1.0 Date : 1998-5-27 Author : Richard Dawe Email : Credit : Nelno for his inspirational Zeusbot - it's too good! Type of QC Mod -------------- Bot : No Compilation : No Deathmatch : No, but it's intended for use in DM Teamplay : No, and it's not particularly useful for teamplay Monster : No Skin : No Sound : No Weapon : Yes Utilities : No Other : No Format of QuakeC ---------------- unified diff : No context diff : No .qc files : Yes, modified QuakeC 1.06 source files included progs.dat : Yes Description of the Modification ------------------------------- Rebound adds a new weapon that fires rockets that rebound off walls a random number of times between 16 and 24. They will explode on contact with any living creatures other than the owner of the missile. It can be selected in the same way that the rocket launcher is - using 7 will toggle between a normal rocket launcher and a rebounding rocket launcher. How to Install the Modification ------------------------------- Create a directory for Rebound, and unpack the archive into it, using directory names, e.g. in a directory called "rebound" off the Quake directory: mkdir rebound pkunzip -d c:\download\rbound01.zip .\rebound It can then be run using: quake -game rebound How to Recompile the Modification --------------------------------- To recompile the source, create a new directory and unpack the Quake C 1.06 source into it. Then copy the modified source files from this archive into it. The source should then be recompiled using your favourite QuakeC compiler - I recommend using advqcc as it's fast and it works. Note that the QuakeC 1.06 source should be used to recompile, as the modified source files might clash with other versions.
